FISH IDENTIFICATION (CONTINUING EDUCATION)

FISH IDENTIFICATION (CONTINUING EDUCATION)

Immerse yourself in the underwater world and become the SCUBA diver with all the answers by enrolling in the Fish Identification Specialty course. No longer will you have to wonder about the name of a fish you just spotted, but instead, you'll recognize and identify the main fish families and their unique characteristics. With this knowledge, you'll enjoy your dives even more and have a deeper appreciation for the diverse marine life. The course is available for PADI (Junior) Open Water Divers or higher who are at least 10 years old (parental permission and presence at all times is mandatory for anyone under 18 years old).

During two SCUBA dives, you'll learn fish survey techniques and strategies, how to identify the characteristics of local fish families and species, and about Project AWARE activities that can help protect aquatic life. Not only will you be able to identify the fish you see, but you'll also earn credit toward your Advanced Open Water Diver certification with your first dive. Beyond basic SCUBA equipment, a slate and a fish identification card are useful for recording and referencing what you see on your dives.

Contact your PADI Instructor at the Aegean Sea Dive Center to enroll in this exciting course and take the first step to become a fish identification expert.
