SELF-RELIANT DIVER (CONTINUING EDUCATION)

SELF-RELIANT DIVER (CONTINUING EDUCATION)

Are you an experienced diver seeking to develop greater self-reliance and independence while diving? If so, then the Self-Reliant Diver course is for you. Diving with a buddy is the norm, but knowing how to carry out dives without one can make you a stronger and more confident diver in any situation. With the right training, equipment, and mental discipline, you can responsibly engage in independent diving and take on new adventures. You'll learn proper dive planning, air consumption rate calculations, life support system redundancy, and independent management of dive emergencies. During three self-reliant training dives, you'll practice essential skills such as swimming without a mask, navigating to various points, and using a DSMB.

To enroll in this course, you need to be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver who is at least 18 years old and has 100 logged dives. Your PADI Self-Reliant Diver Instructor will guide you through a skills assessment to ensure your readiness for the course. You'll need specific equipment, such as a redundant gas source, dive computer, surface signaling device, and a DSMB. By learning self-reliant diving techniques, you'll bolster your skills and confidence, whether diving alone, with a partner, or as part of a team.

Take the first step towards greater independence and confidence in diving by contacting your PADI Instructor at the Aegean Sea Dive Center.
